Le Gazan, 3 rue Gazan tel 0493362288 Simple dishes, but good. A nice and familial ambience. Menus for 10, 12.25 and 18.25 €.

La Galerie Gourmande, rue des Fabreries in the old Grasse. Tel 0493368069. You feel here like in medieval times with an out of age decor of centennial stones.  Menu for 15 € with provencal dishes and classic dishes. Sweet prices a la carte. Plat du jour 9.90 €.

Pierre Baltus, 15, rue de la Fontette, tel 040493363290. We hurried to get there in time. very strict with his opening hours.  Pierre Baltus is without any doubt THE cook in Grasse!  Miniscule restaurant ( 15 couverts) He makes plats out of nothing and his products are A1 fresh products clean, fresh and tasteful.  Sometimes he runs out of a product. No problem! he invents another plat! That's what I call a cuisinier. I followed the advice of my guide and tasted the ris de veau aux morilles: divine!!  Menus for 15.50 € and 26.5 €. This is what I call your money's worth. Reservations are imperative or else  you wait in line.

Now for the financially very well cared for: a tragedy in your wallet but the finest in your dish when you eat at:
La Bastide Saint-Antoine, 48 rue Henri-Dunant. You can find all about this one in the Gault/Millau guide. They awarded the restaurant with an 18/20 and three red toques ! But the prices are . A la carte 70-108 €. Menus for 75-102 €

In Speracedes, one address : La Soleillade, agreeable restaurant, not much frequented by tourists, good cuisine and fresh local products.. Courteous and rapid service. Around 14 €.

Hotels

There are only two places I know in Grasse, recommended by a trustful French guide. In the inexpensive range.

Hotel Les Palmiers,17 avenue Yves –Beaudoin tel 0493360724
Convivilaity is the word here! Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. With shower and wash basin. Price goes from 28.5 to 35.50 €. This is very cheap for a double! If you're interested don't wait, reservations are required long in advance.

Very well located, is a new hotel with modern rooms, and all comfort like TV, minibar, phone. It smells as it should in the capital of perfumery. Some rooms have a balcony with a beautiful sight on the city and countryside. Also here the welcoming is very convivial. Rooms go for 44 to 56.5 € a double with shower and toilets, 45 to 72.5 € with a bathroom and toilets.
