Taverne Provencale, Rue Palmare, Menton. (A little hard to find.  The rue
runs between Avenue de la republique and the Menton pedestrianized street, close to the Mairie).  Excellent luncheon menus including blanquette de veau and Daube provencial for only 11.50 €. Wine only 1.75 €  per demi-litre.  Closed until Easter. ( A Jim Garner recommendation)

Inexpensive, fresh and agreeable, what can you ask more? Menus from 15.50 to 19 € . Air-conditioned dining room with a terrace: effilochée de morue aux lamelle, goujonettes de sole aux coquillages, filets de Saint-Pierre aux petits legumes, cheese, deserts

A lot of marinated and grilled meats like the brochette de poulet a l’ail, and other standards from the provencal cuisine Rustic ding room and a very good address, very much recommended. At noon, formula for 13, or 17, 23.50 and 29 €. All this is served with a smile and kindness.

Le Terminus, place de la Gare tel 0492104980. Closed Saturday and Sunday evening. Agreeable terrace. Menus for 9.50  to 23.50 €. Poelée de rougets de roche, saumon marine, petits farcis, calmars farcis,  etc…

Darkoum, 23 rue Saint-Michel tel 0493354488 Closed Monday and Tuesday for noon.
In a pedestrian zone on a typical Mediterranean square, this is an agreeable table with Moroccan and other exotic savours. One of the good surprises of the Cote. Familial ambience with tajines, pastilles and couscous. With terrace and a smiling welcoming.Menus 14-21 €. Carte 20-38.50 €.
