The most famous of them all, more than 40 years of existence!! A record for a Cote d'Azur discotheque and dancing:

LA SIESTA, on the RN 7, direction Marineland tel 049333131.
Located on the seashore between Antibes and Marina Baie des Anges, the biggest discotheque of the Cote (more than 5,000 some nights!), had ups and downs during its existence. . It's also a casino with 160 slot machines, open from 11.00 on. I was told that 40 million FF were spent for restoration works to give again all its vitality and freshness to the bar, restaurant, pool-basin and sound baffles.
Always in open air, used to be frequented by Johnny Hallyday, Alain Delon or Serge Gainsbourg, the quality of the material makes it possible to dine without being disturbed by the noise. The plastic chairs have disappeared and classy osier appeared, the menu-carte, presented by a former Carlton hotel chief cook, and has improved beyond belief. Entrée costs 16 € (week) 20 € (weekends). Menu for 57 € (discotheque entrance included).

XTREME CAFÉ, 6 rue Aubernon on old Antibes tel 0493340390.
Open since 2 years, this bar, very well located between the porte Marine and the Provencal market, is a MUSTY and super crowded from "aperitif time" until late evening. The owners are South African and you can notice that by the high bar stools decorated by zebra or giraffe fabrics. But the wines served by the glass, together with very appetizing plates of cheeses and charcuterie, are genuine French! Young and smiling service, you have a cyber café on the first floor, a restaurant in the next cave, and TV screens to monitor sport events.

For the insomniacs the
LE BOULEVARD AIGUILLON, in old Antibes, is THE place to stay all night. Terraces of English pubs stay packed all evening and for the younger, flee to Juan les Pins, ("the city where it is "being an old fart" if you go to bed before 5 AM) and sit at the VOOM VOOM, CRYSTAL and other everlasting PAM PAM which success remains over the years.
