At the end of the av. Poincaré, here is the large square du Trocadero, surrounded by all these buildings you all know, like the Palais de Chaillot and others. On the right side of the Palais Chaillot, where the Musée de l'Homme is situated, cross the small garden "Yorktown square".
It's easy now to look up the rue Benjamin Franklin, where an interesting façade is waiting for us at no.25 bis, with its beehive of glass, lozenges, and above all, leafy glazed cladding. This house, created in 1903, can be considered well ahead of its time, since it shows already signs of Art Deco. Notice the signatures of the architect, Auguste Perret and the ceramist, Alexandre Bigot at the bottom of the right hand door.
Take now the rue Scheffer to the right, cross the avenue Paul Doumer, and hold at no. 39. Just a brief halt to see this house ignored Victor Horta's injunction and kept both the steel tendrils and flowers in stone.
As soon as you see rue Chernoviz on your right side, take this street. Here you can smell and see this new style (for that epoch), Art Nouveau taking form at nos.3, 5 and 11. Particularly the door of the no.11, with its wrought iron pattern somewhere between a heart and a fountain. If you'd like a complete text and map in a
