CLAUDE DUPERRIER-MARCHE VERNAISON: because this booth at the Marche Vernaison ( Flea Market of Saint-Ouen) has a lot of lamps, furniture and all sorts of bronze and copper knick-knacks at discount prices. And because the cabin-trunks of the long gone great cruises remind me of Indiana Jones and consorts.....
GALERIE INSTANT-F.DESJOURS: because it can give you a bit of immortality. For little money. Call it sculpture "a la minute " ( in a minute). The contours of your face are measured by a laser device, and a machine gets a replica of your face in wood, gyps, stone or....like some Far-East customers, in gold! The finishing touch is done manually , not because the machine is not capable to do the details, but to enhance the face and give it a personal touch.
