1st arrondissement

--place du marché Saint-Honoré, covered market

--bird-market,  ile de la Cité, every Sunday

--flower market, also ile de la Cité, but not on Sunday

--flower market, place de la Madeleine, not on Monday. 

2nd arrondissement

--a sublime market street is the rue Montorgeuil, especially on Sunday.

3rd/4th arrondissement

--flower market, place Louis-Lepine, every day10.00-19.00 except Sunday and December. In the Ile de la Cité, a spot to loiter and dream.

--rue de Bretagne, lively market street.

--rue Saint-Antoine, lively street with a lot of shops.

 5th arrondissement

--marché Mouffetard (the bottom of the street), one of the most animated in Paris, especially on Saturday morning. Fruits, vegetables, charcuterie. A lot of tourists to smell the ambience of the "Mouff'"

--place Monge, non covered market, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

6th arrondissement

--le marché de Buci, mostly rue de Buci and rue de Seine. Not very big, this market has a little provincial charm with a wealthy clientele and a formidable quality: closes very late on Sunday. All vendors are of a very agreeable conviviality.

--marché Saint-Germain, rue Mabillon, covered market, recently refurbished, but dating from 1813 with the village atmosphere of old Saint-Germain. Excellent quality of products.

--marché Raspail, between rue du Cherche-Midi and rue de Rennes. On Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning. Not always cheap.

7th arrondissement

--avenue de Saxe, pretty and inexpensive, especially frequented on Sunday. For chic people. About 13.00 hours prices have a tendency to lower a bit. 

--rue Cler, lively market street, very popular with the tourists.

8th arrondissement

--stamp market, corner avenue Marigny and avenue Gabriel (carré Marigny). Every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and festive days. Philatelists and telephone cards collectors know this Parisian institution located in open air. A great choice in old postcards but prices are sometimes steep. 

--rue Corvetto, covered market

9th arrondissement

--rue des Martyrs, lively street with shops

10th arrondissement

--marché Saint-Quentin (gare du Nord). A covered market style Baltard (renovated) open from Tuesday to Saturday 8.00-13.00 and 16.00-19.30. On Sunday 8.00-13.30. Very frequented on week-end with a bistro in the center.

11th arrondissement

--marché Richard Lenoir, Thursday and Sunday on the boulevard de la Bastille at Breguet-Sabin. Mad crowds, especially on Sunday, coming from all horizons. Very affordable fruit and vegetable prices.
