Beautiful, ancient 18th century restored and modernised hotel particulier with a small parc-jardin. Very charming and in centre of town. Pretty, refined rooms, soberly decorated and nice salon with open fireplace, recently rewarded with a new decoration. Superb dining room for breakfast. Rooms are for 60.50- 90.75 € all with bathroom. 

Mogador, 20 rue Alain Chartier tel 0231922458 fax 0231922485. Classic, good hotel with comfortable rooms well equipped. Modest prices and hearty reception. Rooms go for 42-46 €. 

Reine Mathilde, 23 rue Larcher tel 0231920813 fax 0231920993.
Next to the cathedral and the famous tapestry. Rooms are comfortable and agreeable. Rooms are only with shower and for 47.25 €. 

Grand Hotel du Luxembourg, 25 rue des Bouchers tel 0231920004 fax 0231925426
Not only lodging but also eating is also a possibility in this place. The rooms are very comfortable, and very agreeable reception, for once! ;-). Doubles for 50 €.

Quiet environment and agreeable rooms in traditional style. When my cousins were there, only 4 rooms had been renovated (1996). Competent staff. Rooms for 40-63 €.

In the heart of Bayeux, in a pedestrian area, a very cute and pretty hotel. Ravishing rooms, impeccable equipments. Rooms for 58.50-86.50 €. 

Le Lion d'Or, 71 avenue St. Jean tel 0231920690 fax 0231221564 (review confirmed by three different sources, of which a very old friend). 
In a quite neighbourhood in centre town, a large edifice with a lot of character, well-equipped rooms, constantly renovated. One of the main concerns of the owners is a convivial, smiling and professional welcome. This is not a bad idea :-). Rooms for 60.25-107 €.
