Let's continue our discovery of some very special shops in Passy, 16th arrondissement.
Strolling rue de Passy, a miniscule shop caught my eye. Or better said, let's stay honest, my wife's eye, she has a sixth sense for these things. Not because the shop front looked surprisingly beautiful, but because of the merchandise exposed in the display window.
"Blanc Nature ", that's the name of the shop, sells one and only product: white blouses! The interior of the shop is perfectly adapted to this I-unique sales product: lots of white wood, no hanky panky and a lot of mirrors. According to my wife's expertise the models are mostly classical, with lace collars, folds and embroidering.
Too old fashioned? No problem, there are Lycra models for the younger. I couldn't resist having a chat with the owner, a charming lady, Agnes.
"There is definitely a market for our product and concept. Best proof is that we exist already since 1986! We sell brands like Infinitif, Rayure, Tarzée and Cottonade. Doesn't it ring any bell? Don't you find them in Belgium?" I never heard of them of course, but Annie nodded: "Sure, we have them also but not assembled in a nice and cute shop like this one."
Agnes blushed with satisfaction: "Thank you; coming from Belgians, reputed to be very difficult, in the good sense, about clothing, this is more than a compliment."
A very salient detail: the staff (by the way not very client friendly) is dressed completely in black. Provocation?

Eat en drink in Passy:
The 16th is not so famous about its modern culinary performances. But it seems that changments are in sight! Let's forget" Bon", the latest of Philippe Starck, 25 rue de la Pompe", beautiful but extremely inedible, and let's concentrate to quality.
Boulangerie Paul, 61 rue de la Pompe tel 0145035560, a traditional bakery with sublime artisanal rolls and bread.
Toastissimo, 16 rue Jean Bologne, with Italian roasted sandwiches (tuna to baked aubergine).
Lina's, 112 avenue Kleber, part of a chain but has marvellous biologic stuffed rolls.
La Gare, 19 chausée de la Muette, 16th century train station, turned into a modern restaurant.
Oum el Banine, 16 bis rue Dufresnoy, Moroccan restaurant with a great dish that I advise to all amateurs: the "kefta
tagine"
