Paris sketches-Butte Montmartre |

Place du Tertre. Meeting place of the worst and the weakest. An army of bearded men wants to paint Notre-Dame, the Pont-Neuf and the Eiffel tower, and all by heart. Screaming and loud colours on canvasses having the size of a postal stamp. Without any result: the desire to stain and blot deafened them. Their prices are unique, not their works. Some try to seduce the public by pretending hiding behind their easel , as if they want to escape the cameras eyes. Or is it maybe that the I.R.S. --somewhere in the world--- could recognize them from a lost mug shot? |
