Paris-8th arr-Pont Alexandre III

Nobody can stay indifferent seeing this splendid, extraordinary and impressive beautiful 107.5 meters long bridge: the PONT ALEXANDRE III. Maybe some grump will complain about the numerous allegories and abundant decorations of chandeliers and garlands. The name is due to Alexandre III, Tsar of Russia who inaugurated it for the world exhibition of 1900. This bridge is a typical example of the grandiose way that the 19th century was concluded, unbridled taste of the Belle Epoque.
For me it’s one of the highlights of Paris. That’s why I present it with pictures taken in every position and in different seasons.
