Regis Mahé, "Le Richemont", place dela Gare? tel 0297549901. Closed Sunday for diner, Monday and 2 weeks school vacation and 2 weeks in November.

I went there in 1997 and think this they THE place to taste dishes and plats you can't taste anywhere else. It's a sunny cuisine in the fog of Brittany.  Very special and inventive!Breathaking preparations like the de rouget et maquereaux en tomates. Gratin d'artchauts aux langousines bartigoule, balance de turbot rotin dans son jus de coriandre. Charlotte d'asperges et homard fumé nougat au chocolat or gateay breton..But you have to pay the pice for these masterpieces: 58 € for a menu. 77-84 € à la carte. A pity that the railway station is so nearby. You cant't have them all.

La Morgate, 21 rue de la Fontaine tel 0297424239 fax 0297472527.  Closed Sunday for diner, Monday and 2 weeks in Nov.
Stone house, in old town, near the church. Another chzef who has a veritable, veneration for good and fresh products: soupe d'huitres glacé
e aux nouveaux légumes, langoustines crues à la feme, , acidulés au caviar Sevruga!,charteuse de piedd de porc pétris de veau au lard (guaranteed not kosher:-))créme brulée aux chataignes. Menus from 15 to 29 €.

Closed Mondayi(except July to Sept) et le sunday for diner. Alos end Jan -begin Feb.A simple and comfortable place in a samll street ined with timber framed houses, is not an exception. The same honesty in working on his fresh, original products. An impeccable teh ique  and respect for the customer. You will notbe fooled. Pigeon aux épices douses,  hochepot à la moelle et à la fleur de sel de Guérande.  The welcome is not always as we expect. A pity. Carte 33.50-48 €. Early menu for 13.50, others for 21, 52 €.

Le Pressoir, outside town, , take the D 767, rue de l'Hopital no.7 Closed Sunday for diner, Monday, the two fisrst weeks of March, first week of July and three weeks in October.
Depite the many vacations and closing days, it's always corwded. It's certainly the best place in town,  except the "Mahé". The lady seats and looks after you,  you, the husband, a wine connoiseur and matcher of all dishes with the right wine. He knows his products and prepares you one of the best meals in the area: croustillant de pomme de terre à l'andouille de couenne et à la truffe. Tièdi de rouget au cumin,  abricot et brioches d'amandes, foie gras chaud aux raisins, fondant au chocolat et à l'orange. Menus for 28.50-71.60 € . Carte 48-65 €
